Year

Impact

Create a future of the internet that is inclusive and accessible for everyone, including minority groups that are currently underrepresented

What will the internet of the future be like?

Next Generation Internet (NGI) is a European programme aimed at supporting the development and growth of the future of the internet in Europe based on trust. An internet that is grounded in the digital needs of people, including security, inclusion, and accessibility, while also meeting the goals and standards of the European agenda.

The main objective of NGI4ALL.E is to strengthen and grow the Next Generation Internet in a sustainable and impactful way, involving and empowering a diverse and vibrant community of stakeholders interested in the Internet, while ensuring a broad understanding and support for the vision of a human-centred Internet. The ultimate aspiration of NGI4ALL.E is to actively engage the key internet innovators in Europe, the open-source community, European policymakers, and end-users of the Internet, as well as the women who are working in the sector.

From Ideas for Change, a specific strategy and an EDI methodology (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) has been designed to identify and promote good practices for the internet of the future that reinforce these values.
