Under what conditions are citizens willing to share their data for health research?

TRIEM was a pioneering tool that used collective intelligence to design access licenses and a use of health data that can benefit us all. With this application, citizens were able to take a leading role in controlling their health data, deciding under what conditions, with whom, and for what purpose to share it.

More than 8,000 users registered on the platform and shared what motivates and concerns citizens when it comes to donating their data through scenarios in which an official entity, such as a university or an administration, requests data for a specific purpose and with specific outcomes, such as, for example, researching chronic or rare diseases.
