Activate local resources in empty Spain

How can olive oil tourism promote the revitalization of rural areas affected by depopulation, fostering authentic and sustainable experiences?

Olive oil tourism, an emerging branch of tourism that merges culture, gastronomy, and tradition, emerges as a bridge between Spanish historical heritage and the growing demand for authentic and sustainable experiences from travelers.

The Oliete Regenerative project arises to address the common needs of rural areas suffering from depopulation. Its intention is to offer a series of tools to help these territories achieve their goals using tourism as a lever.

The Oliete Regenerative project is one we are carrying out in Oliete (Teruel) with Apadrinaunolivo.org and with the support of Airbnb. These three organizations are working to enhance rural tourism and olive oil tourism. It is a project that aims to activate local resources in order to increase visits from people who choose this type of tourism, with respect and the pursuit of authenticity.
